Poorly made, causing splintering and misalignment of the lids.
I feel ripped off by the store, which didn't take any responsibility for a faulty product.

The design of this bin shed is good, and if the parts were made to a decent tolerance, I would be happy.
However, the back sections I received were too narrow (10mm narrower than the front). This was exacerbated by a poorly made middle piece that had the lid mounting point inset by 5mm causing the lid to bind and splinter on closing.

I took this up with the store, provided photos and measurements, but was fobbed off saying that 'the engineers have checked the measurements and they're fine'.
Not acceptable. Evidence of a splintered lid and middle section is not 'fine'!

Reading other reviews I am not the only one to suffer from these shortcomings. I followed another reviewer's advice and added some spacer strips of timber to rectify the problems.

Item was ordered and delivered 3 days later (speed took me a bit by surprise). However, stored the store in tyhe garage and decided to construct the following week. Took me a couple of days due to weather and time constraints but after a little bit of effort came together very well. I did it by myself so it was a little tricky at times. After staining the wood it looks very nice and works well.

There was a small issue with parts missing, there was only 3 chains in the pack I have tried to contact Rowlinsons on two occasions giving them my order number and a description of what was missing but to no avail, no response what so ever. It is a shame because the product is good quality but the communication from the manufacturer is non existent.

Firstly, was never sent an email when this was to arrive, and suddenly turned up early. good job the driver was a helpful person and carried this large heavy 2 part parcel into the garden. secondly for the amount it cost the wood was cheap, no pre-holes in the wood, it took my husband 2 days to try and drill holes in the wood at such an awkward angle, having to re-devise the wood by shaving and sawing bits off and adapting to the instructions which are very small drawings and writing. whilst it looks good to hide the bins it defiantly is not worth the money, given it came from Rowlinsons., and it definately cant be done as per google videos.

Nice product, chosen from other models available as being the best looking at a sensible price. Assembly mostly quite easy - except fixing the middle baseplates to join the two halves, intended to be fixed with screw from underneath. With insufficient space here to turn over or upend the whole assembly, I drilled the dividing panels and fitted bolts, inserted from underneath with nuts tightened from above.
Some timber is rougher on surface than the advert pics might suggest, but all in all, much better to look at than three plastic wheelie bins. Mr D in sunny Hampshire.

There are no pre-drilled holes for any of the screws. The very first set of instructions tells you where to put the screw but the drill wont fit between the
screw and support bar. When it came to putting the doors on, the gap at the top was bigger than the bottom. It was just very frustrating all the way through. Not what you would expect for the price.

It was a time consuming job to put together and my husband is an engineer and very practical. You really do need a large flat surface to build it on like the garage floor. However, it looks great and is SO much better than having the horror of the refuse bins on the drive. Several people have already commented on how good it looks. Very pleased

Looks good when built, but not for the faint-hearted.
It took myself and my son just over half-day to assemble. We had access to hand and power tools and even then it was not a particularly easy build. The instructions are poor, to say the least. They're printed in an A5 booklet form and are pretty vague as well as being poorly printed. We had to deviate from the plans when fixing the rear panels together as there is almost no access to the corner of the panels where the screws have to go due to some cross-bracing. However, as long as you're working on a flat and level surface it should go together ok (keep checking for square at each stage).

The Rowlinson Triple Bin Store was delivered, well-packed in three packages. I anticipated that there would be at least two full length pieces for the bottom of the store, however there were three short pieces. I will be adding two long lengths of wood to the bottom of the unit to provide greater strength and durability. That said, overall it is well-engineered and quite weighty. The majority of the pieces are not pre-drilled - and some of the instructions are incorrect in relation to the size of screws to be used. Checking all of the pieces upon delivery proved useful, however the deficiency in screws was easily made up from the home tool-box. The storage certainly looks tidier than the three separate wheelie bins.

I’m impressed with the finished built bin store. I was a little worried with the assembly process as it was aliitle more involved than I had anticipated. With the recent high winds all my neighbours bins have had moments of flight and mess. My bins have been safely tucked away.

Very disappointed with the view from the rear. As our garden fence is lower than the bin store, the bins are visible.
Would much prefer them to be hidden by slats or a solid back?

Rather than waiting to receive a message from the couriers, and it possibly not be convenient, Natalie at Garden Street was very helpful in arranging a suitable day for our delivery.
Would recommend two to do the construction. The instructions were relatively easy once you'd studied them but perhaps a larger leaflet would have made it a bit easier to interpret.
From the photos we looked at before we made the purchase, we didn't realise that the back of the store is actually open, not the same as the sides, which could be better shown/advertised. Ok if its going up against a wall or fence, but something to bear in mind.
Whilst there are no pre-drilled holes for construction the advert does say a power drill is required and this worked fine. Our real difficulty was inserting the screws in the back panels as the diagonal corner supports make it almost impossible to get your power drill into position - most had to go in at a jaunty angle!
We did add a few short rubber feet in the end to keep it slightly off the floor and prevent rot, but probably not necessary.
Overall very pleased with purchase, it is larger than you imagine but very sturdy.

The finished product looks good (although it doesn't feel the sturdy, so I hope it is going to last the course).

The biggest thing to note is that this is headache to put together. If you're doing it alone, I'd bank on 4 hours, cut hands and a lot of swearing. It's not IKEA-style: "slot A into tab B"... there's a lot of room for interpretation, so quite a bit of trial and error involved.

It's OK - not the easiest to put together but again doesn't really need 2 people as the instructions state - I put it together on my own with my husband just helping to move into position once the main frame was constructed. It's a shame that all holes weren't pre-drilled and some of those that had been were drilled incorrectly. I didn't use the base frame because, as mentioned in another review, this makes getting the bins out of the shed that much more difficult especially if they're full and heavy. The final product looks ok and definitely nicer than looking at 3 mis-matched ugly bins. However, I thought that it was a little overpriced for what it is - but not much choice out there.

The assembled ‘store’ is fine. Our carpenters put it together but had to make some alterations to it. It had to be raised a couple of centimetres off the ground to enable us to get the bins in and out. The doors were a bit flimsy and ‘dropped’ a little so they inserted diagonal ‘braces’. I will fit loops to the lids to facilitate opening them. They look quite good but the carpenters said the wood was rather insubstantial. Quite pricey for what they are but they do the job.

Challenging to construct, surprised by those people how say it was easy. Instructions could be a lot clearer - the images were small and low definition and they could be much clearer with the sizes and measurements. We ended up making repeated readjustments. Definitely needs an electric drill.

Great Bin Store, good quality..but what a PAIN to construct !! There was quite a lot of swearing!!
The screws to bind the main frame together are so awkward to get a screwdriver in and so tight.
I had to use an elecric drill in the end. They show follow IKEA's build and use hex screws?
But the finished product looks the biz and we are very happy with it.

A very flat surface is required to ensure all the pieces fit together as per the diagrams. We had to do a bit of juggling to get all the bits to line up. Now it's finished it looks good and solid

Very pleased with store. Construction straightforward but definitely needs 2 people. To make lids easier to lift simply put screw in each side piece of each bin compartment. These out of sight screw stays lift lids enough to create a gap to lift easily,without having to purchase a handle and they keep appearance looking smart. Also used 2 coats of clear decking oil to protect wood without changing natural colour of the wood.
As 2 of our 3 bins didn’t have open handles to loop the bin chains round we simply drilled slots for the chains to go through in the flat bin lid handles. Have also put strips of roofing felt under front wooden base strips to act as a damp proof course and protect the wood from rot.

Very well made, high quality product. Only negative...surprised the lids dont come with handles as they're difficult to open without. I've now added some having got them in B&Q. You definitely need to assemble this on flat, level ground. I had a few issues due to doing this on a gravel driveway but clearly my own fault. Very pleased with the product.

Excellent, very sturdy well made product, unfortunately the fixing kit bag had burst during transit so was initially missing bolts hinges etc. however the customer service was excellent and a replacement kit was sent and received the following day. As the instructions state it is easier to put together with two people for some of the trickier elements.

I initially had some concerns about what I thought was mould but an email put me straight i.e. this was a result of the wood treatment process and would fade in time. I should have read the FAQ!
Assembly was reasonably straightforward but it does take two persons and three are even better. However, more pre-drilled holes would have been helpful particularly in the early assembly stages as there was limited space in which to work and my power tool was too big. Fortunately we did have a smaller one available.
The instructions and diagrams were a little confusing in places but possibly this was due to the leaflet being A5 size when A4 would have been easier to read.
However, overall I am very pleased by the finished result and the unit has been much admired by my neighbours. I was going to paint it but think I will wait and see how it weathers.

Once it arrived it is great, easy to assemble and looks good. I put a shelf in the third cupboard area for the glass and cardboard tubs then used a natural oil stain, job done.

I decided to paint the bin before assembly with a 'National Trust Green' paint stain. I was concerned that the wheels of the heavy garden waste bin would struggle to rise over the wooden baton which spans the front bays. So I modified your design and fixed in its stead, a painted hammerite green an aluminium carpet baton strip with a small radius to traverse. It works very well.

When I had finished the construction I did not feel that there was any overhang to make lifting the lids easy. particularly for my wife who was not keen to risk breaking her nails. So I used the now spare base plate baton wood and the blocks that came in the packing to fashion three handles which I fixed to the underside of the bin lids and painted them the same green.

I hope these modifications are of interest to you and if in the original design I would have given a 'very good' score.

Service delivery by the way was excellent and came on the day specified.

Makes an untidy area smart.....Took a while to get it level and also to remove struts at bottom which got in the way of pulling bins out...but this was because of our uneven ground and the end result is aesthetically pleasing as well as practical...well made item!

It came as 3 parts. There were several screws missing, and one of the lids lats was split. Not an unummountable problem, but paying £230 you would expect everything to be in place. Couldn't repackage so just got on with it as repackaging would just be a chew on. After assembling it, it was as described, and did he job I was expecting.

Overall a good product. I do think some people might well struggle to put it together, and it really does need 2 people, I managed on my own only because I had to. not the best instructions but you will work it out eventually. I do not recommend trying to do this if you have no practical skills. my only fault with the product is the hinges and latches could be a bit more robust. Overall very pleased and it has really smartened my garden up.

A nice design and reasonably well made. I did have to add a few screws here and there and one side panel had the slats all dropped down so I just relocated them and secured the with panel pins or screws.
Ideally two people are required to build this although I did 95% of it alone with the aid of a couple of good G Clamps. The instructions are reasonable and fairly straight forward.
The only criticism I have is that the lids do not overhang the front so not only does the rain run down the front but there is nothing to hold onto to lift the lids. I've rectified this by buying some good sized aluminium door "pull handles" and secured them through the lid and into a batten on the underside of the lid.
I'd recommend this product and other family members will be purchasing one to hide their bins too.

You will definitely need two people to construct this. It wasn't easy my hubby had to drill extra holes as it was impossible to screw all 100 screws by the electric screwdriver as the wood was so thick. Took us 3 hours to construct but it is very sturdy and looks fantastic.
